Question of the month to Helene Louapre

“From words to actions! »
After an extremely special year, financial indicators show that the CGP COATING INNOVATION group continues to benefit from the great trust of its customers, and this is particularly true in the North America zone.
What has been your course of action throughout this period to maintain and strengthen these links?
“So of course we have worked to continue to produce, to deliver, to find alternative solutions sometimes in complicated situations, to respond generally to the needs of our customers and they were grateful to us I believe.
But we also took the time to reflect on the way of doing and being, of adjusting our values, of redefining certain axes of our strategy with a simple guiding idea “to move from words to actions!”.
Environmental awareness, societal evolution and of course innovation, it is not enough to say, it is necessary to do! So we made changes.
In terms of the environment for example, and after having renewed our FSC certification (FSC - C136002) which guarantees our customers that our products come from responsibly managed forests and supply chains, we are proud to announce that we have obtained ISO 14001: 2015 certification for our environmental management system, which commits us to compliance with standards and encourages us to manage our activities in an environmentally responsible manner.
Recyclability, circular economy, waste elimination, life cycle of our products, we have been working on all these themes every day for a long time now and we are constantly looking for new improvements.
And since awarenessenvironmentalis a state of mind, we also applied it in our daily life! We have installed a fleet of bicycles available of our teams to travel between the two factories (bike that they can also use to get to the village of Bromont).
More recently we have installed a compost bin for our lunch waste and we regularly participate in the actions of the local community… here are some concrete examples, taking action whatever the scale!
We also wanted to go even further in terms of innovation, the real DNA of our group. Frédéric Froissart, our CEO, recently insisted on collaborative innovation and he is right. Our future innovations are the reflection of common projects. So there too we acted. In the second quarter of 2021, we created a monthly innovation committee which brings together all the company's players: production, R&D, marketing, sales, external consultants, etc. This notion of collaborative innovation goes through this process of giving everyone a voice. And all together we have no shortage of ideas! Connected packaging, antibacterial, e-commerce packaging or even innovative food packaging… Imagine, emerging from the drawers of R&D projects can be buried too quickly, select, prioritize and then GO or NO GO! It is exciting. We even set ourselves the challenge of achieving a turnover of $ 250,000 in 2022 on a product that does not yet exist! None of this would be possible without the investment and motivation of the CGP Expal Inc teams, which we all thank.
The year 2022 will also see the creation of a Concept Center in Bromont. On the basis of our Technical Center in Europe, we also want to create a place to exchange with our customers and suppliers. Showroom of our products, demonstration, product test but also debates of ideas…. The question is how to prepare for tomorrow quite simply. How to be as close as possible to the realities of our customers. Innovating, diversifying, involving, federating is what also motivates our teams and our partners.
Another example of an act, the notion of collaborative innovation is not a formula for communicators! We put it into practice.
With the support of the CGP Coating Innovation Group, "we are pursuing our development for the benefit of all. "
